China is rapidly developing their certification industry and Chinese companies are also becoming more and more confident about utilizing certificates obtained from domestic certification bodies and displaying their logos on marketing materials.
We have prepared this article to help you identify some of the most frequently seen China certification marks, explain what they stand for and who they are issued by. Also included are the logos of some of China’s most widely-recognized certification bodies.
What are China Certification Marks?
China certification marks are the logos you see displayed on goods, documentation and certificates, representing claims of conformity or certification to various regulations, Chinese & international standards.
You may have seen China certification marks on products imported from China, certificates & test reports from Chinese companies, in Chinese suppliers’ brochures or on shipping documentation.
Chinese Product Certification Marks
When it comes to product markings, there are a many different categories of China certification marks, so we have categorized these for you to make it easier to follow.
It may surprise some readers to know that China has its own product certification programs in place for items as diverse as Halal food, water conservation and good forestry practices.

Chinese Certification Body Logos
The logos below include those of some of China’s most reliable certification bodies. These are some of the organizations that issue the China certification marks whose logos we displayed in the previous section.
Most of the certification bodies listed below offer ISO certification so if you have received an ISO certificate (e.g. ISO 9001 or ISO 14001) from a Chinese company you may find that it displays one of the logos we present here.

Accreditation Body Marks
In addition to the Certification body's logo, many ISO certificates will also display the logo of the Accreditation body which regulates their activities.
These are the organizations that decide which companies are entitled to issue certifications, giving Chinese companies the right to use their China certification marks. They also provide accreditation of test laboratories so you may see these logos on test reports.
These organizations offer databases which allow you to confirm the credentials of certification bodies and check the validity of the certificates they issue.
